Steve Miner To Direct "day Of The Dead" Remake!

Yup... Day of the Dead to be remade!!

Well, I guess it was inevitable with all the remakes the past couple of years. Of course I will be there opening night , but we\'ll obviously have to wait and see.

I know there are a lot of die-hard \'Day\' fans here, a few having said it was their favorite horror film. Let\'s hear some opinions on this one.

My opinion......these remake movies, for the most part, turn out like polished turds. Leave them the I hell alone already.

Day of the Dead IS one of my favourites by the way.

I don\'t think it needs to be remade. Day is my favorite dead movie, and i think it still stands today. I\'ll be there to see it though, and i think it\'s pretty cool that Miners directing it.

M****RF****R!! Man you know this really just does piss me off, actually more then any of the other remakes. So now the ENTIRE original trilogy has been remade? why? WTF!! It doesn\'t need to be done!! So in a couple years they\'ll remake Land of the Dead too I guess. Then remake all the Nightmares, Halloweens, Fridays,...Jeez when\'s it gonna stop!?!?!?

The entire trilogy remade, what a F***Tard!!

F*****G Hollywood and thier inability to make a damn movie without spending 100 million dollars, if they could make good cheap movies they wouldn\'t have to spend a TON to remake what doesn\'t need to be remade!!

I just don\'t understand why they have to make it such a big production with somewhat B+ actors. The fun of the original films were that they were hometown made films that had a legitimate vibe to them (at least they were trying to convey a message about society in one way or another)...these are just cashing in on someone else\'s orginal work.
I wish the remake fad in hollywood would just end already.

(Of course that being said..my favorite zombie flick is the Night remake..heh.)

It\'s all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Like many other members, I am a huge Day fan. It has always been my favorite of the trilogy. I am disappointed about this remake, but it has kind of wore since I knew about this for close to a year now. It has been in talks since the Dawn remake did so well. I know for a fact that there is no way that they are going to recreate anything close to Romero\'s. I guess they may make it cool (and hopefully they do). But at least I know that they can never touch the original, and that it will always be there.

It was inevitable, but I actually enjoyed both the Night and Dawn remakes. Hopefully they\'ll have a sort of "reimagining" instead of a straight remake. Maybe Romero\'s original idea will finally be put on the big screen.

So, I have some sort of hope for this.
