Forum Updates, And How To Test A New Skin.

A few users were experiencing problems with the reply box. this should be fixed, or at least function better than before for them.

A new feature has been added as well. I added a member gallery, you can see the link in the header. Right now, this is a contributor privilege. Everyone should be able to view all public galleries, but only admins, mods, and contributors can create galleries and upload pictures.

Other contributor features of the gallery include sending e cards (basically an email with the image and some text). more gallery viewing options, and lots more.
Uploading may eventually go public to non contributors some day, but only contributors will have access to the advanced features available.

I'm still hammering out the features and options of this new module.
Also under development is an improved forum skin.

When I go into the members gallery I see a message that says "you can not open a new gallery". I assume I should be able to do so.

Also, when I opened up your gallery the icon images of your uploaded pictures were stuck at the bottom of the page with the name cut off. I can see it briefly as the page is loading but then the photos shift and drop to the bottom.

I also find that the whole forum is very slow to load, even going from thread to thread... kind of like The HMA before their recent upgrade. Perhaps it's a setting on my browser at work or just a forum setting I'm missing. Any suggestions Jeff?

For anyone interested in beta testing a new skin, go to the bottom of the forum and change the dropdown to Nightowl 4.0.
When i say beta, I mean it. It is far from done and a lot of things need coloring and styling. It's a lot closer to the previous skin so far, but i dont think it will be the final look. I will keep it as an option though if you want to keep using it. Justin really wants me to move back to the old old old look of the forums, which was basically black and green. I decided to start this one first since i know people are attached to the previous look

then it went to what you all know and love. Justin prefers the 2004 look, so eventually we are moving in that direction. I will keep options available for you though

I really love that one from 2004 with the greens and yellow font. That banner up top with NIGHTOWL and the moon looked cool.

The look from 2005 is nice as well.

I would prefer the 2005 version out of the two... easier on the eyes, IMO.

I know several people posted this in the Shout Box as well..... I can't see the new skin option. Where is this drop down menu?

The box next to the "English USA" says "Cethin (Import)" and it is the only option it gives us. There isn't anything else to choose.
