alot of the 'richer' guys actually don't show off thier stuff at all. They don't have much to prove. I know a collector on these boards who's bought 10-15 masks off of me, and he never puts up pics. After talking to him he says he's got HUNDREDS of Myers masks.I would SOOOO love to see that room. Can you imagine the orgazmic seizure of walking into a room with Hundreds of Myers masks??maybe it's just me since I'm a Myers nut._____Some things you keep, some you sell, some you trade. It's a revolving door hobby.

As i knew it would vary from collector to collector.I thought for sure it was more of a lack of fund's issue to sport another great piece and also the tough time's.I myself will be sure to take advantage of such offering's since alot of the piece's that come from you here at the NIGHTOWL forum tend to be in imaculate condition.I myself have a really small collection and have held onto it for the past 6 year's and hope to keep it that way.Once again thanx for the input i was just in awe these past few day's looking through the classified section and simply couldnt believe what people have up for grab's.

For me personally its "seeing is believing"....getting a mask that looks great in pics on a PC is totally different once you actually get one and hold it in your hands. Sometimes they just aren't what you expected and I'd rather sell it and see it go to someone who likes it than to stuff it in a closet never to be seen. Plus there is the "in and out" factor that has already been addressed. If I have to sell a piece, even a brand new one, to score something I really, really want out it goes..no big deal. Stay around here long enough and you'll see tons of familiar pieces that go thru many hands.......................................................Larry

I dont see how anyone could have "hundreds" of Myers masks...I like Mike as much as the next guy but for my tastes there are only a handful of Myers that I would want to own...........................................Larry

I sell stuff because I get bored with it VERY easy. I like to see new things on my shelf instead of the same old stuff.

Some look angry, some look sad, etc.I think the guy I was referring to basically has multiple copies of almost every single mask in the MM.net gallery. He's my new hero, lol.

Like a lot of others have said...space is one thing...but to me...(and this may sound strange) but I don't want 1,000 different masks hording in my house. As much as I love my film props - I don't ever want to feel completely consumed by them. I feel that if I sell one of my high end pieces - it's merely to continue conglomerating my collection into fewer, but more expensive pieces, rather than 1,000 mass produced ones, you know? I used to collect anything. Now I won't buy anything under $200.Eventually, I hope to a room of maybe 10 props - all worth ridiculous amounts of money. But mask trading is also kind of like playing the NYSE. You buy low, sell high. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

In my 'personal' collection, i.e. bedroom, all I have is a Trauma zombie mask, *love that gory fella* and my 2 Travsall hockey masks. They're the only things so far I've never been inclined to sell or trade, *though I almost did sell one once, lol*<img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v398/Insomnia_Malik/TRAVSAW7n9.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v398/Insomnia_Malik/hocks7.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v398/Insomnia_Malik/Hpim0837.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v398/Insomnia_Malik/Hpim0839.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v398/Insomnia_Malik/hocks5.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />Now I know I'm biased, because it's mine and I love it. But I've never seen a part 9 Hockey Mask come as close to this scene as the one that Travis made for me.<img src=\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v398/Insomnia_Malik/jgthcloseup.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />So I collect what I collect. I've had some expensive pieces like the SSN New Blood bust, but at the end of the day I still get the same happy feeling of Jason that puts a smile on my face whenever I look at the 7 inch NECA part 7 Jason I've got on the floor by my computer. ...next to Dr. Loomis, and Michael, and pt.2 Jason, and Superman, and......
