Shipping Question

Last week I mailed out a package VIA USPS Priority shipping, it was early last week and the person I mailed it to STILL hasn't gotten the package. Now, I don't usually get Delivery Confirmation unless it's requested and I just want to know if I can call the post office I mailed it out from and give them the to and from address and they can tell me what's up or what?

You are lost without the confirmation and even that means nothing if it is lost as they only scan it when it leaves their buildingyour only hope is what happened to mine where it went priority but they forgot to put any stickers on the box so that it actually shipped via parcel post which can take 2 weeks even though you paid for priority - always watch and wait and make sure they throw those stickers on there with tape as they forget sometimes when they are busyOther than that you are pretty much out of luckSorryShummy

I sure hope that's the case because this is BS. I've never had this happen to me before using USPS, UPS yes they lost one package I mailed out and I never went through them again. I just hope that's the case shummy.

You can try calling the PO and see if you can file a lost item claim but without tracking you may be out of luck. Never ship without tracking, you have shady people out there that will say they never received your package when they did, you'll have no way of knowing because there was no tracking, people are messed up like that. If a package does get lost in the mail (which is rare in the US) it should make its way back to you provided the return address is still on the box. Before you call the PO, ask the person you sent the package to if he checked his local PO to see if there’s a package waiting for pick up. USPS only makes one attempt at delivery, then the article goes back to the PO and sits for 10 days until it’s returned to sender.Jeff-

I have always had problems with packages coming from the states via usps if there is no tracking number, can take 30-40 days to turn up if they turn up at all, with no tracking it really seams to mean 'Steal me' <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":angry:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"mad.gif\" /> Hope it works out for you mate, nothing worse than something going missing in the post <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":confused:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" />Lesson to all, ship with tracking or signed for service.

I totally agree with darren. I always send stuff signed for...it's the only way! Always get a tracking number. GOOD LUCK DUDE!!!

Don't give up hope yet. I've had priority packages take up to two and half weeks to get to their destination. And I just got an envelope from Britain that was mailed in DECEMBER....bottom line is that ALWAYS at least get DC if not insurance. And remember priority mail is more or less the same as first class mail and delivery times are NOT guaranteed........................................Larry

Yea I've been waiting for a package that was shipped out 3 weeks ago...didnt get a tracking number on it either. Good luck with your shipping problem man. Hope i get mine...

Doesn't the receipt sometimes say the address on it?If you have that, scan it and show the person.

What I hate SOOOO damn much is that you HAVE to insure a package to get tracking.. I mean what has the postal service come to when you have to INSURE A PACKAGE to make sure it gets there?
