I love all of them. Part 2 is really cool. C\'mon, ice pick to the temple in the first couple minutes? classic.

The hockey mask adds to how cool Jason looks, but not what he is. In part 2 you get a real good look at what he is. A freaky killer mountain man.

one and two were created in the early 80s when moviemaking was more a low budget, trial and errot kind of thing. I\'ve enoticed the more you watch part two the better it gets, and if you watch part one for the groundbreaking special effects it is a classic. Part six has always been my favorite because it is the one I remember the most from when I was really really young, and the soundtrack kicks ass.

I loved each of the first 8. "Should have stopped after 4"? 6 and 7 were awesome! 5 didn\'t even have Jason in it and it was pretty good. JGTH and X were berable, but the storylines were horrible.

I, too, am quite perplexed that more people have not seen the entire series around here. With all the posts on different hockey masks on this board, I assumed everyone was like me and had seen each one hundreds of times... It kind of makes me feel a little old...I mean, I cut my teeth on these movies years ago...even got to see part 7 on the big screen. So those of you who haven\'t seen the entire series, stop reading NOW and run to your local video store!!! Damn, I used to spend my entire summer (every day) renting Friday films as well as others...

Anyway, part 3 has always stuck out to me as my favorite. It used to be part 6 but then I watched it again recently and it had lost a sort of \"edge\". Still love it though...especially the RV scene Smile But part 3 is just great...very nostalgic for me.

Part 1 is a friggin\' classic and I had the chance to attend a midnight screening of that in a theater near me a few years ago on Halloween. I remember watching that in the dark, alone in my basement when I was little too...and running up the stairs at each commercial because I was so scared.

Part 2 is another great one...I think it has one of the most suspenseful chase scenes of all of them really. And the sack humanized Jason a little more I think.

Part 4 is another near the top of the list...great deaths and overall it moves quick and has soomething a little different than the rest.

What can I say...I love\'em all! Though I must say JGTH, X, and part 8 are waaaayy low on the list for me. The last great Friday the 13th (IMO) was part 7. I wasn\'t too keen on the supernatural powers Tina had, but that was one of the baddest Jasons ever.

If you haven\'t seen the whole series what the hell are you doing wasting your time on a messageboard, go watch the films because you are missing out buddy!!! Part 6 is my favorite of the series as well.
Part 1 is an awesome slasher film, just the right mix of blood and suspense. I am not too impressed with the second part, well, the acting and suspense is good, as are the fx, but the aprupt ending of the movie has always annoyed me a little.
Part 3 and 4...well there can\'t be much said other than these are two great films with awesome gore fx. God I love the 80s movies.

I personally think 1-4 are the best... those were the originals... after that... meh... they are still all wicked just meh... Big Grin I wish I could go back to when I first saw them... that experience was awesome!!!

    Cheers

I\'m alos surprised that so mahy of you haven\'t seen them all! Oh well.. better pick \'em up then.

Anyway, my favorite is The New Blood, followed by Jason Lives and The Final Chapter.

And the worst one, IMO, is definitely Jason Takes A Boat.. err, I mean Manhattan.

Come on guys, Part 8 is a great movie with an even better soundtrack.

The worst has to be Part 9 but hey, it\'s still Jason so its still good in a bad way
