Cool mask. Some of the best and most accurate take a while to get just right.

Nice observation. Yes, it is slightly stuffed w/ newspaper to get the look I desired. This Kirk is slightly thinner than my Myers version so it looks thin in the face if it's not worn or stuffed. Glad you dig it!

Not to start anything but that was definitely controversial. I personally think it's retooled clay press as he had the access to do that easily. Not to mention there are sculptural indications that tie it to other clay presses. Can't always trust what everyone says....In my opinion it wouldn't be any less accurate or perfect if that's what it came to be...Looks like a freakin kirk from here though...good score dudeDAn<!--quoteo(post=246257:date=Nov 21 2007, 07:02 AM:name=WarLocK)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(WarLocK @ Nov 21 2007, 07:02 AM) <a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=246257\"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecNo, it's an original sculpture by Dennis Beckstrom. The fact that he spent 2 years sculpting it is completely irrelevant. It honestly means nothing. Its a great mask, but why does that fact that it looks really accurate make it $2,000 when a recast in the same condition and detail will cost $1,700 less...

bottom line is tho, the man can ask what he wants for his product...also, lets not turn this into a retardo thread like mm.net gets flooded with.

He can charge whatever he wants..I didn't mean to seem like I cared about that. But, I am also entitled to my opinion on how this piece came to be. Definitely the best replica kirk out there though. I like the kirk more than the myers version
