I remember all the controversy Christians made when the first Harry Potter movie came out because it's about witchcraft and blasphamy. Seriously I have nothing against most Christians but it's hypocritical, self-rightous zealots like these that really made me turn away from all religion.

This book is actually part of a trilogy that evolves from more or less a children's book into a more blatant advertisement of atheist views. In interviews Pullman, the author, said that he wrote this trilogy as a strike at the idea of Christianity. The characters in the third book actually end up waging a war in heaven, with Pullman portraying them killing God. New Line Cinema said they tried to remove any anti-religious themes. But if this movie takes off you know they will try to finish the trilogy where they will have to make a decision to stick to the story line or piss off a lot of people off.

I get tired of this crap, i thought we had freedom of speach in our society?This guy writes a story, it gets made into a film, it's on at the cinemas, you either go and watch it or not.For christians to then make a such a fuss over it that it will get more people interested, they are shooting themselves in the foot!I have no problem with people believing in god, i respect their religous views and opinions but i don't want them forcing their views and opinions on me, watching this film will not turn our children into satanists, it will not turn children against god or jesus or the holy ghost!There are enough sick and scary people out there that are involved in religion to do that.The woman being interviewed had this to say “I’ve spent my son’s entire life convincing him of the existence of God through factual stories like Noah’s Ark and the Immaculate Conception. Why would I want him being exposed to lies in contemporary books that obviously aren’t true? I don’t care if that jackass sold 15 millions books or not!”I did laugh when i read this, poor kid, factual stories?I love that bit!
