This was interesting enough I thought to warrant its own topic...name some of what you consider the finest movie makeups and masks.........Larry1. Frankenstein (the original)...still effective and scary today2. Wolfman (original).....amazing work3. Creature from the Black Lagoon.....still best man in suit IMO4. The Howling/American Werewolf in London.....breathtaking transformations5. The THING.....Bottin's effects have yet to be topped in my humble biased opinion6. TCM (original)....Bob Burns gave us the original ultimate house of horrors and killer in skin 7. F13th part 3......the classic hockey mask killer ...still too cool for words8. Planet of the Apes...made me believe apes could talk

HalloweeN- something so simple yet so scary as a white expressionless mask.Friday the 13th 7- by far the best and scariest looking Jason.pinhead- original scarysilver bullet-bad moon. cool werewolves

1 - Thriller (I love Michael's makeup and all those cool zombies)2 - The Thing (what's not to love about this one? Gorefest!)3 - Waxwork (Love all of the makeup in this one... especially the Werewolves!)

I have said this for a long time on the forum, and still really dissapointed that no one has made a mask/bust of it yet.The workman zombies from The Gate, allways creeped the shit out of me.

Good idea Larry. Here's mine in no particular order . . .Gillman . . . VERY innovative for it's time. It's STILL effective too.Predator . . . one of the coolest monsters ever thanks to the Gillman.F13 part 3 Hockey Mask . . . just because it is.Harry Henderson . . . what can't Rick Baker do? My favorite Baker creation.Cap. Kirk/Shape mask . . . from the original Halloween. As much as it differs from scene to scene, it's creepy in every one of them. And so simple it's stupid. LOL.Planet of the Apes . . . a classic that has to be recognized.

Halloween(original)-CLASSIC MASK. period.Friday the 13th pt 3-the best mask in the series.TCM(original)-disgusting. creepy. cool!TCM2-the many facial parts, hairs and skin tone on that mask really brought out the disturbing and troubled character leatherface.
