everybody is getting way too worked up about the mask........but what about the makeup ??? that scares me more than the mask itself, what if in the movie jason gets unmasked and he ends up looking like the VS version as well ?? now that is scary. I know Jason is supposed to look retarded but I hope they put some real creative geniuses to work on that one.

Its Friday the 13th and what better freakin' day to discuss the remake??.....This is too much fun....I haven't seen anyone here get worked up yet, just friendly debating....keep it coming folks. I too wonder when we'll get a glimpse of the unmasked Jason. I wish they'd leave it a secret though..........................Larry

The mask looks really weathered in the pics we have seen and by the sounds of it there is only one mask used through out the whole movie, maybe this is how the mask will look toward the end of the film, maybe it starts off clean?

LOL....Good point Darren, I never thought of that!! We'll probably see it in different stages of deterioration from the start to the end of the movie. I kinda like it...I'm not sure about the shape though...and the Hockey Mask in those pics looks HUGE!!!

Were people actually expecting an exact replica of the original Friday the 13th mask down to the exact markings, and colors used to paint the mask? This movie is going to be a re-make, and of course they aren't going to follow the original movie to a T, especially the hockey mask. Who knows, maybe I just didn't have high expectations for this movie as some. I'm not expecting anything grand when I go see it or too see if it has the same nostalgic feel as it's predecessors because it isn't. Just have to see the movie with an open mind and try to relax and enjoy it. Not compare, analyze every single thing to that of the original.

Yeah i thought it looked big too!The muddy look could be from all the 'tunnels' and 'holes' Jason will be crawling around in.

Don't care for it much, too versus like. I love 4,6,7, and 8 though. 6 and 7 the most closely followed by 8. The red doesn't seem right.
