While I'm not 100% thrilled with the mask (mainly cause of the paint job) it does look much better than I expected it to. The way it had been originally described I thought it was either gonna look like the X mask or something almost completly different from the original. This mask for the most part is a nice compliment to the original pt3 mask imho.

i think the new mask looks decent, but here's an idea just for fun. i would like to see all the talented Hockey Mask painters on this board like crash, warlock, ruste dowg, and the imperial hockmaster paint up a copy of their interpretation of what the remake mask would look like if they had been given total creative control and asked to create jason's mask for the film. i think you guys all do some awesome work and i would love to see what you could come up with. if you artists are interested, maybe we could all vote on which one we think looks best. just a thought, what's everybody else think?

CRAP. A friend sent me the pic and said it was the new one. I told him I could probably tell if it was real or fanmade and he actually fooled me. I thought he was screwing with me by sending me a pic of some random fan made mask. Couldn't believe this is the one. The eyes are too close togather and not the right shape and the mouth area as Crash mentioned is way too elongated. Hopefully the way they shoot this movie, lighting, direction, will make up for it and it will look better on screen, Let's hope!

Looks more like an actually used hockey mask that shows some wear on the ice or street. Not "weathered", just worn and used.
