I'm sorta pissed that they're remaking Near Dark. Bill Paxton is perfect in that movie. As for some movies I don't ever want remade:Evil Dead I/IIExorcistDead AliveBad TasteBasketcaseLeprachaunOriginal Tales from the KryptFunhousePeople Under the Stairs (favorite black comedy)Night of the CreepsI would like to see a remake of My Bloody Valentine. I really love this movie, but unless an uncut version is released, it needs to be remade while the MPAA is a little more laxed in their ratings. Also, the remake of Child's Play should be good, especially with the advancements in animatronics. But I hope it's not tongue in cheek like Bride and Seed. And when I first saw Del Toro as the Wolfman, I got a big grin because Baker's design is awesome.

I just can't bring myself to care if they remake movies or not. Remakes don't hurt the originals for me so I don't have to have anything invested in them. I'm looking forward to the Wolfman but that's about it.Most others I can take it or leave it.

Same with King Kong.I hope this remake trend really dies soon. When I heard they were remaking F13, Elm Street and Child's play I really got mad. Movies from the 80s aren't old enough to be remade in my opinion. Just cause a movie is over twenty years old doesn't mean you have to remake it.

The Legend of Boggy Creek (Unless Charles Pierce re-makes it)The Town that Dreaded Sundown (Unless Charles Pierce re-makes it)DuelANY more John Carpenter Movies (He is the most re-made director there is! He’s my favorite director, leave him alone.)Jaws PHANTASM (Don’t fuck with this one!)Movie too late…and they already messed them upHalloween (I love Rob but…….)The Fog (Why god, why!!)Prom Night (The OC/Hills re-make)Terror Train (Hostel on a train…??????)The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (Holy ground here!)Night of the Living Dead (I heard Savini was not all there during the making of this movie…he should re-try it!)

I’m sure I’ve left out several others…but really, it seems, they are ONLY using the “Name/Title” for marketing purposes only. The change the story around so much, may be they should just re-make the movies like the “Psycho” remake. You can tell that the writers have NO CLUE what’s going on when writing the latest batch of horror movie re-makes.Ahhh, more to add to the “Why are they being re-made list…”Motel HellMy Bloody ValentineCHUDAlligatorPiranhaGremlins (CGI will do a majority of the work here!)Happy Birthday to Me

The thing is Hollywood would be CONSIDERED original in their remakes because it has nothing to do with the original except for names and bits of the original story line. That can be good like TCM and can be bad like other remakes. What they need is an original slasher. I came up with a cool horror movie that is like John Carpenters original name for Halloween, Baby Sitter Killer. Basically it is the same name but is a mix of Halloween, Saw, and Scream the movie would be called Sitter Killer. The slasher would wear a plastic bunny mask and black clothing. He would kill off all the babby sitters in his neighborhood because of a sitter who mistreated him and he snapped. I don't have the name of the slasher but he does talk and he is very cunning and weilds knives. He created a device that picks up on all phone calls so he can finds the "watch my child for a night" ones. For those he lets live he sets a trap for them so if they move they die. Just an Idea I came up with.Lets try to stick with the original subject or if you want to comment on the movie idea or make one of your own thats fine.

I heard that they were considering remaking " Escape From New York " and that Kurt Russell was not very happy about it as he really likes his character " Snake ".

It's based somewhat on the Mad Butcher murders that took place here. It's really going to be an homage to slaher movies (both cheesy/camp and "serious")[/segway]
