Hey everyone... I was finally able to obtain mirrored blades and also apply artificial edging on the blades to make them appear sharp! I haven't gotten my new templates made yet (probably not for a couple of more months) but I thought I'd at least update the glove with new backplate bending, more authentic aging of the leather glove, slightly different colored glove than before, and the new mirrored blades. The glove now sells for $110 on my website. Check it out and let me know what you think of the new version!<img src=\"http://www.knifegloves.com/image/FirstNightmare1.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://www.knifegloves.com/image/FirstNightmare2.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://www.knifegloves.com/image/FirstNightmare3.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://www.knifegloves.com/image/FirstNightmare4.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

I think it's just the lighting because if you saw it in person... you'd be more satisfied. But I'm still trying to find the best way to dirty it up even more. I only have so much dirt on my garage floor. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Big Grin\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />

Damn nice looking glove. Think if the backplate was a little more accurate you would have yourself one hell of a movie accurate glove. Also cut the figertips off the leather glove. The blades are perfect

Hi all, I agree with goodoletime, lets see the back plate a little longer than that and lets see it bent and weathered in the right places to be more accurate. The fingers look great, the blades look great, the leather glove looks great. Dirtying it on the floor? lol. Cant you research perhaps some sort of chemical liquid mix to dip it into to make it look genius? Your gloves keep getting better, nice work! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

Thanks for your comments. The Part 1 glove did not have the fingertips cut off. Only the Versus glove had that feature. The opening sequence shows Freddy cutting the fingertips off but when you look at the glove itself, the fingertips were intact. It was a continuation error in the film. As for the backplate: the backplate on the part 1 glove is actually the smallest backplate of the series. If you watch the opening sequence, the backplate is very small. Most builders tend to make it too big. I do have brand new templates for my next installment but I need to use up my current supply before ordering more copper and brass and having it cut up. This stuff is pricey and I need to make sure I use it up. As for the staining on the backplate, I'm not really trying for exactness because the more detailing I put into the glove, the more I have to charge and I want to remain the most affordable builder on the net. So, I have to sacrifice something somewhere but still come as close as I can to a representation as possible. But not identical. And for the leather aging... that's been a tough journey. I'm still experimenting with techniques and have yet to find one I'm completely happy with. If anyone knows how to get a good authentic stained/aged appearance for leather, clue me in. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Big Grin\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />

To me it looks like how Freddy does it in the beggining of part 1. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />
