Friends and fellow consumers, as silly as it may sound I figured I should give you all a heads up about a trend I am noticing at WalMart. All too often lately when I pick up an item off the shelf, the price at the register is different and NOT in my favor. For example, I picked up a DVD set tonight that was clearly marked on the shelf as being $11.96...when I got to the register it rang up $14.96. Now as I said, if this was an isolated incident...OK I do realize it happens. But I would honestly estimate that this has happened at least 6-8 times in the last 6 months. Two of the times I have even checked the receipt before leaving and realized that I had been charged double for a particular item. Supe glue of all things when it was one of only 5 items I bought. Every time I bring it to their attention, I end up being right that they overcharged me. I try to give the benefit of the doubt, and it may be a handful of honest mistakes...but the way the economy is nowadays and how frequently this is happening lately has thrown up a red flag with me so I thought I'd pass it on.Check your receipts! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />

i've noticed this too as just last week i was there with my friend and his girlfriend and she tried to pay for some stuff and the lady overcharged her ( $20 ) and she threw a fit just as i would causing a huge line and this was like midnight . she finally had enough of the cashier arguing with her and she walked out . but that was the one time where the price has been that off where you kinda raise an eyebrow and look at them funny but of course there's time where the price may be a dollar or 2 higher than the sticker price . mike,

I wish we were that lucky.Wal-Mart is notorious for sticker prices being off. They're scanners are screwy too. I always use self check-out when possible.

Wal-Mart is the perfect example of corporate America, they don't give a damn about the customer only their profits. I may not have been in the states all that long but I soon learnt Wallyworld sucks ass.
