Just don\'t get fed up and delete it after you realize you don\'t know what you\'re doing Smile That\'s what I did the first time I started using it. It takes a little while to get used to it and learn how to use all the tools efficiently. Here\'s a pretty good site with some tutorials and explanations: www.teamphotoshop.com I\'ve been using photoshop for about a year so I\'m pretty comfortable with it. If you have any specific questions, I\'d be glad to help you out Wink

I have about 7 years experience under my belt, I read the books, did the tutorials. But the best thing for you to do is play around with all the tools, learn what each do, and learn how to manipulate them. Experience in the program like that will really make you comforable in the program.

I agree...I\'ve been working with it for about 10 years now (since version 3) and even though all the tips and tutorials help it\'s trial and error that will help you learn the most. I can remember staying up all night just messing around with images and stuff and before I knew it it was dawn.

If I can give one more piece of advice, BEWARE of filters!!! Yes, they are fun and once you see all the different ones it will be hard to resist using them all the time. But if you really want to get good at Photoshop (to the point where it\'s professional looking) you really choose your use of filters wisely and know that a little goes a long way. That will set you apart from all the others that just take an image and apply some filter to it.

    Hope that helps!

Don\'t get discouraged when you first start out!!! That is the most important thing. Work at your own pace and experiment a lot.

I have 3 years experience with photoshop from college, and yes it can get very frustrating. Just hang in there play around a lot and get the photoshop bible. Also, if ya get comfortable with it and the trial isn\'t enough for you, let me know and I\'ll hook ya up with a geltoob version of Photoshop 7 for cheap. Wink
