You guys are smokin' crack if you think the Burton films are even remotely as good as Nolan's. Burton made Batman the supporting star in his own movie. Keaton was definately cool and his look was perfect, but Bale as Batman is believable. I can't understand how some of you are hung up on his voice. I have no problem with it. Plus Nolan filled his movie with some of the greatest actors to ever grace the big screen......Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Rutger Hauer, Bale, Gary Oldman....just phenomenal casting...........................Larry

Kevin Conroy was the best Batman voice hands down. While I found Michael Keaton to be a good Wayne, his Batman was not as impressive as Bale's. I will always think of Keaton as my favorite Batman, but that may only be because he was the original, and he is who I remember watching over and over again when I was a child. However, Bale's performances are phenominal. In my opinion, between the two, he did a better job overall. If I were to see both the original Batman and Batman Begins today for the first time, Im certain the idea of Keaton being my favorite would change.....and that opinion would be based simply on acting and how well they matched the chracter of Batman that I know. And that is a dark, deeply disturbed individual with a craving to avenge his parents death.Like I said, I honestly think that the only reason many of us save Michael Keaton in our hearts as our favorite Batman is because he was the first to really DO the job like no other. We had the original tv show that was NOT how Batman should have been, the first Batman film in 1943, then BOOM! A decent feature film that Burton of all directors was able to direct. It just made an impact on a lot of Bat-fans lives and I believe that is why many wont let Bale surpass that role.Just my 2 pennies.

Good points. Keaton is the perennial fan favorite for a great reason...he rocked the role. Without a doubt, Keaton was......is the man. But comparing the films is like night and day. Burton's film comes off somewhat campy to me these days. But I'm with most of you, Keaton in costume looked B A D A S S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they just added more scene's of that nature in the newer Batman's which tended to reminded you of the parents/avenging death aspect more. Burton's Batman kinda just showed you the hardcore importance of those events once, but I still feel it showed heavily that Keaton's Batman carried that burden with him the entire two movies (more so the first one). Just my opinion, not trying to argue with you good sir <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

I didn't really buy the whole parents death scene in Batman Begins... that is one of the only scenes and flashbacks that I absolutely hated in the movie. His father saying "Bruce, don't be afraid" just seemed too scripted. However, the parents death scene in Burtons original Batman was a very memorable scene. I can still picture keaton sitting in the batcave while the flashback is happening.

I can deal w/ the overdramatic thing... but the lisp completely ruins it. Batman isn't supposed to be 'special'. And woah, I completley forgot about Kevin Conroy. Batman the Animated Series rocked!!! His voice is by far the best Batman voice I've ever heard.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cm6Rw_US5Ehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j468iT6qs4c...feature=related
