I don't understand how some of you can say this looks absolutely horrible.... yet enjoy part 7-VS????I'm not expecting TOO much, but I am pretty excited to see Jason back on screen. I don't expect it to beat parts 1-6. I really hope they incorporated lots of classic elements of the old films into this one, that'd be pretty cool to see a director that actually cared for the originals in his film. From the trailer, it already has some classic elements.Oh well, only time will tell, and we'll all see February 13th. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

Part 7 and 8 are "classic" Jason films, created under the "Friday the 13th" title at Paramount. Do NOT get them confused with that New Line crap we've been fed from 1993 to the present day...<i>That's</i> what destroyed the series. In fact, I think The New Blood is one of the best films of that whole bunch. It's very well-made and pays homage to just about every F13 film that came before it. It was even directed by a superfan with a brilliant FX studio! I mean holy shit, this guy even got CRAZY RALPH to come back and do the narration at the beginning of the film!!! Jesus, that's awesome. Just think about that for a moment...Do you really think they'd do something like that nowadays?Cheers,Ryan

part 8 was the last of it's kind sadly . there's just something about new line that screws up the jason movies . so far the only good thing to come out of their films is the look of jason from part 9 . i mean yeah you can't expect the ne one to be exactly like the older ones but shit , i could care less as long as i see jason at crystal lake again and NOT in space . i hear they are shooting for Jason Vs. King Kong as it's been floating around that all the new jasons have to be giants <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":whistling:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"whistling.gif\" /> mike, face it , some people will like this movie and some won't . alot of you guys totally trashed the 2003 TCM remake and the RZ halloween but look at how many went out to see them and turned out liking them and even wanted to buy masks from the movies ..... don't judge a movie by trailers or damn critics . judge it by your experience from watching it yourself . funny how " some " say that jason 6 is a classic but 7 and 8 aren't lol

I'm honestly not to sure what I fully think about it yet! Some things look/sound potentially cool, like human Jason and the sack back on his dome, but others look/sound really stupid, like Jason's jacket and his tunnels?(lame IMO) One thing is for sure though, I tend to side with CRASH on just about everything he points out and have even thought of a lot of it, before reading the same stated by him. While I'm much more excited to see this remake then I was with RZ's Halloween, I'm not getting caught up in the hype thats beginning to surround it.

Well I'am excited to see Jason back now in Human form and Derek Mears looks fantastic as him. Here is my problem is that they make it too Texas like instead of Northeastern and another thing that bugging me a little bit is the trailer is making it look like TCM without the Chiansaw and the cannibalism. I have to see the movie first before I can finally judge. The kills look awesome though. The run and slash, the axe throw and the window crash are in my top 3

Trailer looks okay....just don't get the 'friday the 13th' feel from it. Ya know? I mean sure Jasons there I'm just sick of this new aged looking stuff. Nispel is directing this one, right? I read somewhere that he was considering shooting the TCM remake like a 'snuff film' such as the original was shot with the rough video quality. You guys get what I'm talking about? the crisp picture, they're driving around in some brand new 50,000 dollar SUV. The Abercombie & Fitch actors. I mean...I would probably flip out if I just saw an 'average' looking person in these new 'horror' movies. Hell, dirty it up a bit....make it rough so maybe it will at least feel similar to an 80's film. Oh well, I'll still see it and will probably enjoy it just because of my love for the first eight films. But let's face it....this movie won't be shit compared to those. -Derrick
