I'm very saddened to hear about your friend and I hope memories of your friendship can live on in your heart. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Sad\" border=\"0\" alt=\"sad.gif\" /> I lost my Dad to cancer at the young age of 59 three years ago. He went into the hospital for seemingly routine testing...they put him under sedation and he never woke up again. I'm just glad I made that last phone call to him (he was in PA and I'm in FL) just to tell him that I appreciate everything he'd done for me and that I couldn't have asked for a better Dad. Oh man...the tears are rolling...I'm sorry, but I can never seem to talk about him without crying.Anyway, PM me any time if you just want to talk about you buddy.~Mike

Damn bro that sucks, especailly around the holidays, looks like a cool guy, kinda reminds me of george carlin, i lost a friend not to long ago myself, totally diffrent situation, and hes dead, but it hurts, especaily when its unexpected, i hope you had some good words with him and he knows how you felt about him in your last conversations, sorry you gotta be going thru this bro, i hope you will get thru it ok and just cherish all the memories you got to have with him while he was doing fine, those memories will never be taken and are yours forever, cherish them bro, and thats a great pic you have of you two together, the friend i lost was very close to me, he even gave me my nickname and i dont have one pic of us together, so at least you will always have that as well, take it easy and keep your head up!!!!

He has been a great friend. He went in for surgery 6 weeks ago and after it was over with I talked to him and everything was fine. For what ever reason by the second night he slipped away. He is now in a facility and is completely gone. I dont understand what has happened and am very sad and pissed off. Here is a picture of me and him, as you can see he is older(67) and a smaller guy, he looks huge compared to what he weighs now. Plus now he looks about 20 years older. Sorry to bum everyone out, but I am just sad. One day they are fine the next they are not... Anyone gone through this?Tom<img src=\"http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa52/mybankey/100_1251.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndWell it is a miracle. My friend Pappy is coming home Wednesday! He was transfered to another facility where he got way better treatment and with in the first 3 days he was turning around for the better. The Dr. was very surprised. I am so happy that he is coming home. He remembers nothing that has gone on for the last 2 months but he remembers me and my wife and everything in his life that was going on before the surgery, he said to me today that he remembered going to bed(the day before the surgery) and then waking up in the place he is in now, so the 2 months are gone from his memory. Here is a picture I took with him today at the place hes at, as you can see he has lost hair and weight, but he will get all that back soon. Thanks to all that I have talked to on here about this. All your comments have been very appreciated! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> Tom<img src=\"http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa52/mybankey/100_3436.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />
