So I sold my mask on Ebay and he paid for it, which I didn't think he would considering he has 0 feedback and I get the payment in Paypal and get this message.<!--quoteo<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE</div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecWe've completed Payment Review and placed a temporary hold on this transaction. To get the funds sooner, please ship right away. We'll release the hold after 21 days unless you receive a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal on the transaction. We may release the hold earlier if: <ul><li>The buyer leaves you positive feedback on eBay</li><li>We confirm that the item was delivered</li></ul><!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndSo basically if he leaves a negative feedback he gets the money AND the mask correct? How do I confirm it was delivered, should I buy a tracking number just in case? When did Paypal start doing this crap, they're making shopping online a pain in the ass anymore.

i am not sure but i got something like this and i called paypal and they told me that it was a fishing scam. do not ship that mask until you call paypal directly and confirm that they have received money. these lowlife people want you to ship the product after they send you a fake email that says they paid. if paypal know nothing then it is a scam. do not ship until the money posts or you will get the shaft. report them to ebay also. good luck, mike.

How much feedback do you have on Ebay? If it's low than they do that. I've gotten that message the past 6 times i've sold there. All I had to do was upload tracking info to paypal and the payment cleared.

That's a new one to me. It does sound like a scam so I would be leary man...if someone wanted me to ship them something first before I received my money, forget it! Contact paypal and find out for sure. If payment doesn't clear, definitely do not ship the item. Some of these paypal or ebay messages can look very legit when they are in fact scams. I got phished on ebay once and it sucked.

I would never send it. Even if paypal said it was legit. How are you suppose to pay for shipping? I wouldn't care if I had the money. I'm gonna ship it with their money. If paypal says its legit then tell them to refund the whole amount to the customer. The only one that loses it paypal.

Yeah, this happened to me when I sold my old Causey David bust on ebay to a guy overseas a few months back. What, the buyer and myself did was cancel the transaction via ebay...it worked out for us both cause I wasn't stuck paying the $100 for listing and winning bid fees. This is why, I rarely sell on ebay...they'll do anything to make a quick buck at the expense of others!

It doesn't even seem like their making a buck, just breaking sellers balls to get more buyers.
