Hi everyone,I put this up on another thread, not thinking I should make my own about this topic instead of putting it on someone elses. Anyway here is wha I'm talking about... If you look at the Texas chainsaw massacre 2 movie you will see that his mask is different LOOKING then what we have been collecting. I say LOOKING because I have been told that I am wrong on this. So if I am, fine. But it sure looks different to me. What is different? The side of the neck under the dark part of the face has what looks like an ear, eye, and a nose that is not turned upsidedown like we see on our masks. Lets have some opinions on this so I can see what you are seeing. I took a picture of the scene with my camera. This is a scene where LF has found Stretch in the tunnel. I know some might think this is not important and I agree, but its just driving me crazy.lol <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> Thanks,TomP.S.I know the one Savini sells at the cons. looks like what we have.

( 2 end pieces, 1 nose, 1 open set of lips, and 1 ear) what i belive you are looking at is the "lips" and not an eye. and this could very well be the stunt guy ( whos name i cant recall at the moment) and it could very well be that when the collar was cut and stitched back together that it was put back together in the exact order that it was sculpted in the first place.. Though, there was only ONE mask sculpted, there were a few made for production purposes.about the death studios version. its a clay press resculpt, made larger and in one piece. NOT the real deal but kinda close.DB.

The nose does not apear to be upside down either, but oh well. And thanks for not thinking this is a stupid topic!Later,Tom

I think you're bang on myself. When I look at that area I see a single section of the right side of someone's face... the entire eye, down the middle of the nose, up through a portion of the cheek bone and back up through the temple area. The ear is way too close to the eye so that, to me, would have been a separate piece.Good observation.[attachment=30010:TCM_2.jpg]

I can understand what your saying... and thats what it LOOKS like.BUT, thats not an eye.. its the mouth section i mentioned. if you have everseen an actual pull from the texas mold BEFORE they are cutup, you understand what im saying.. but, if you dont want to take my word for it... thats cool.DB.ps- the nose was sculpted in upside down.. however it was stitched in right side up on this mask..I would bet you 1000.00 peso's this is the stunt man and not BJ....
I think I got it, I studied the pic, along with my mask for a few minutes, and I think I figured out the difference. Very obviously the nose section of the neck, was stiched on right side up, so incorrectly. If you look beside the nose, it looks like the section next to it, which should be the ear, was also stiched on wrong, so the whole neck might have been attached upside down and out of order. The ear thing to the side looks to me like a little bit of leather lace in a loop that's sticking out, either the tie cord to hold the mask on, or some of the lace used to stitch the piece back together. The eye is definitely the mouth upside down, so they got that piece right, kinda I definitely see what you're talking about though, it totally looks like it is another face! Really really cool catch, and kinda eeiry considering. Would be cool to find a conspiracy of the lost neck piece LOL But I know for sure Tom did just the one sculpt, and his fx team slapped em together. I'd agree with DB too, this HAS to be the stunt man, they just grabbed one of the non hero masks to use for the run through the studio with the running chainsaw.GREAT topic man! I miss stuff like this, having an actual debate, throwing ideas back and forth, discussing masks <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />
