2 weeks ago I was asked by Paramount’s Editorial Department to help them with a series of books that they will be releasing on their history. (I finally got word tonight of what exactly I’m helping with!) Since then I have been inundated with boxes of photos, slides, transparencies, ad slicks, poster mock-ups and other things I don’t even know what they are. They have sent boxes of memorabilia from films like Top Gun, Up in Smoke, Friday the 13th(s), Rosemary’s Baby and Beverly Hills Cop(s). Everything is mixed in…I have to go through everything and sort stuff into piles then ask them what they’d like me to do with them; mainly scan and scan and re-scan. I asked the gentleman who I’m helping if I could show some pics to some friends on the net…I had to get his approval of what I can show. He unfortunately won’t let me show ANY pics of ‘Jason’ from behind the scenes without his mask on. That is a HUGE “no no” at this time. I have, after going thru pictures today about 78 color and b/w shots I can’t show; they will be going in these books. Will the books be available to the public? That’s a BIG question. Anyway here is just a small snippet of what Tom will allow me to show. Are there any photos from deleted scenes or deleted effects shots you could talk about?I noticed one of the behind the scenes photos of part 3 shows jason without his hockey mask on!

How did I get this job? Friends of friends and luck that someone recognized my name. Connections do work; never burn your bridges so to speak. There are several deleted scenes in photographic form it seems. There is the entire Part 3 original ending in photographical form, the mothers death from Part 4 and from what I can make out, Horses’ death from Part 6. All in b/w, no color….damnit!As I dig, I will ask what I can show. For the people who can’t make out what I posted, here are the shots minus the ‘Kirkus.’ My advice to you guys with small monitors, BUY better ones because if I’m able to post anything with ‘Jason’ I can tell you for fact, ‘Kirkus’ will be splattered across it. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Since the shot of Jason ripping Kim's head off is a far shot, Tom said it was ok for posting purposes.<img src=\"http://i43.tinypic.com/3517qtd.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i41.tinypic.com/i20kyb.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i43.tinypic.com/34glgeq.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />I’ve had at least 2 PMS and 4 emails asking for pics. Sorry guys, I can’t even keep scans of anything for myself. In the contact it pretty much states that this material belongs to Paramount and is not to be shared with anyone else unless specified by a department head at Paramount.

They're nice pics and all, but I don't understand if you are "given the ok" to post pics, even of Jason, why the need for the watermark at all? I know you put them on your own pics to prevent someone from copying them and having them blown up along with images of your carpet, but I don't get the big deal if Paramount says it's cool.Oh well.... still fantastic pics!
