The younger roles are sort of what you would expect. I'm not gonna complain, but i'm not thrilled. Clancy Brown is a nice surprise. He is a great actor, and has a really good presence on camera. Any info on what kind of role Allan is?

I would imagine him playing Quentin's father. He has the most speaking lines of any of the fathers in the film. I think they have some very high-quality actors lined up. This may be one of the best casts for a remake yet, IMO.Filming starts tomorrow in Chicago, IL!

oh WOW Clancy Brown sets it for me . i don't care much for the others really as it's just looking too modern age teenage movie to me and this will be far from a " horror movie " as it'll get . but man i loved Clancy in Pet Sematary 2 as Gus lol . freaky undead but still at times funny to watch . great actor and this will be the reason for me to buy a ticket . mike,

Looking to be too much of a modern age teenage movie?Weird... the film is modern, stars high school-aged kids, and is a movie.Let's look back at the original NOES... came out in 1984.... was modern at that time, starred high school-aged kids, and was a movie.Seems to have the same make-up to me. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Big Grin\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" />Have you read the script?

lol no what i'm saying is that they don't look like the avrage teens but more like models in clothing adds . i just don't see this movie being scary or creepy in any way . kinda like a high school musical with ed gein stopping by or something <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"mellow.gif\" /> . but whatever , it's hollywood so you can't expect much anymore these days . as long as it has the title of a major movie like A Nightmare On Elm St. they don't care how the movie is made or even if they throw in Elmo . they know it'll make money because of the name and that's all they care about . all these " fans " don't mean dog crap to them or what they want to see in a movie .

I know what you meant... just yankin' your chain. I agree that the teen stars do look like models. Then again... most of the original cast were really good looking people. Nancy looked the most like a "normal" person while Tina, Rod, and Glenn were all better-looking-than-most type of actors. Sorry to repeat myself, but have you read the script for the NOES remake?
