For me it was easily one of the worst 'thriller' films I've seen the past several years. I thought the acting was awful, the CGI effects were terrible, the dialogue made me laugh. I felt bad that Nicotero and Berger's name were associated with that film.I couldn't wait for it to end. But hey... that's just me <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

I can't describe how much fun this was to watch!!!Shades of Evil Dead for sure... Disgusting, Hilarious, Scary, etc.I will be checking this out again later this weekend. My favorite part by far was the "dinner" at the old lady's house... <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sick.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"sick.gif\" />

I am a sucker for cheesy horror movies and this to me had the right amount of cheese with pop out scares ..

Saw it tonight! I thought it was pretty Bad @SS! did anyone notice the old lady's car was the same car from the Evil Dead films? My favorite part was when I heard the main girl say "COME GET SOME" the crowd sucked, the PG13 rating brought so many (Dern, I done gone and growed another head) loud kids out, and they all were talking on cells phones and being loud, over all the movie was no Evil Dead but it was a pretty good horror flick!

I thought it was pure awesome. In fact for the first time, I'm going to write a review. I was with a GREAT audience, and this movie kept everyone's attention with its carefully timed "pop-out" scares and well crafted slapstick. There were a few gross out scenes, but they were so well contained and managed that I don't think anyone in my theater rolled their eyes at them. AUDIOThe Foley audio in this film was just excellent. It sold so many jokes [like the tombstone] and intensified the horror so well. Some people shrieked at sound effects that were not even meant as scares. Whoever mixed the audio was very talented too. It was a little too loud, [may have been my theater] but they made full use of that 5.1 surround sound and got people looking around the theater. VISUAL EFFECTSYes, the CGI was mediocre, almost shadow puppet like, but Evil Dead and Army of Darkness's stop motion effects and obvious wire usage didn't ruin those films, and, in fact, for me, gives these films a stylized image. The CGI in this film picked up on that style, and almost like a wink to the fans, reminded me of those great films Sam previously directed. ACTINGI had no problem with the acting AT ALL. No, it's not Academy Award winning, but I don't really need to be wowed and amazed by actors in a Horror or Slasher flick. Last thing I want is some big stupendous actor stealing all my kills or scares. I don't want to contemplate life, a person's place in society or feel deeply for the person when that person's going to be dead in 5 minuets or be involved in a chase. Just have a small emotional scene with someone of the opposite sex, talk about your lives together [or apart], run, scream and die, or come back for for more. Horror is entertainment, and that's what i want and expect. And this movie gave me all it's got.SPECIAL FX MAKEUPHorrible. Just awful. haha. Nah, the makeup, from sculpt to finish was everything we'd come to respect and admire from Nicotero and Berger. Can't say more than that.OVERALLI jumped as much as I laughed, and I'm buying this movie when it's out on DVD, calling my friends, and showing them this great film on my blueray. I think this film's only setback is that it was made in the last 10 years and was rated PG-13. To the closed minded and/or doubters like myself, this can make ANY horror movie sound like a piece of crap, but it really is amazing. If this was only made in the 80's, it'd get the attention it deserves. SPOILER???This may be a spoiler, but in one scene an invisible spirit rages around the room smashing things while laughing like a maniac. Was this "Bad Ash"? It sure sounded like Bruce Campbell to me...and there you have it
