Friday 09 Ending

so i just got done watching this for sort of the first real time. first time was a cam version. i couldnt see sheeetid say i like this movie alot. the look of jason has been growing on me,the death scenes were cool,the boobs were stupendous, <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":lol:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" />and although sorta weak, the ending was ok, (i hate the one liners before the final blow to jason, but alas, in every horror movie, they are there)only thing that really threw me was when he jumps outta the water for the final scare,i just feel it woulda been perfect had he been maskless, assuming logic is part of a horror movie (tho we all know its not) theres no way he swam all the way down and put the hockey mask back on in time to jump out with it....and it would have been more of a nod to the original, and also a nice shocking view of what he really looked like.then again maybe the whole sequence is more directed towards a hallucination, in which case for sure logic wouldnt matter.but yea, good flick. very enjoyable.*edit*after seeing again what they did for young jason, im in shock and awe at how dumb it looks...im very glad they didnt show a lit shot in the feature. he looks like the weird gnome woman at the of "dont look now" <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":lol:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /> i find it hard to believe that was their best concept. savini's 1980's makeup trumps this one.

I couldn't get into the ending, what was the point of tossing his body in the lake? I mean what were they gonna tell the police? "that these kids we just met today were killed by an inbred homicidal maniac that we killed by throwing him in a wood chipper and just for the heck of it, we decided to thorw his body in the lake." The only thing that makes sense to me was the ending was perhaps a dream (kinda like in the original).

Then again.. do ANY of the Jason films really make any sense or have a use of logic?Also.. why in the world would they make Jason look so awesome (IMO) with his makeup and everything and never even show him in the film? That doesn't make much sense to me.

I liked the ending because it eluded to the original ending. (hanging jason). Although, I gotta say, I do like how the alternate ending was when it snapped his neck. While not as suspenseful, it was realistic.

yea i hear ya, it just seems that the creators took alot of great steps into making sure, its all somewhat believable and then they go make little lame mistakes, ah well, nothings ever perfect, its still a 4/5 installment.

I love how fast, brutal, and pissed off Jason seems to be. I especially love that quick spin he does before chasing the girl as she crab-crawls away from him.

Mears said they DID film an unmasked ending at the docks, and he said that's what he wanted. Didn't make it in the film.

I though the ending was kinda stuiped as well, its way out there. Pluzs the Say hi to mommy for me....in hell! I hate that part!
