Just thought I would share some progress pics of a Mmfx part 4 blank I got from NIGHTOWL member EARL (great guy to deal with) This is just basically to show the new members or just anyone who is interested, the many steps of painting a latex mask. There are probably tons of ways to do it, this is just the approach that works best for me. alot of guys who only collect, have no idea how much work goes into painting a single mask, enjoy!!<img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evolu.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />First step is to paint on the veins, you can do it manually with a paint brush, or an airbrush.<img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evilu1.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />next is to sponge on a skin tone basecoat. one coat usually works for me.<img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evol.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evol1.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />next airbrush a light pink or whatever color you like coat of half and half water and acrylic paints over the entire mask.once the paint has dried, take a damp facecloth and wipe off all of the paint. dont scrub because you want to leave the color in all of the cracks and pours and if you wipe too hard the basecoat will start to peel. if you look close, you can see the color in Jason's scars.<img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evol2.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />next is to airbrush the darkness around the eyes and lips etc (just mix colors until you find a shade you like)<img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evol3.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />next is to use colored latex to paint the eyes, teeth, and gums, I just use a paintbrush.<img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evol5.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />

next step is to add the blood<img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evol6.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />Next step for me is to lightly sponge on a coat of permawet, I use permawet on all of my masks because it seals in the acrylic washes and airbrushing. after the mask has completely dried I hand paint the eyes then add epoxy with a paintbrush to make them shine. I also added a few strands of hair using permawet as an adhesive. that way once it dries its transparent. if anybody has any questions please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to help.<img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evol8.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evol7.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evol9.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evolx2.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evolx1.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /><img src=\"http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/oo279/caidenzakk/evolx.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />
