It looks like it should be decent and they are using the Nancy bathtub / Tina bed scenes from the original.It is however very hard to see & hear Freddy without Robert Englund's iconic voice. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":whistling:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"whistling.gif\" />

Why would I need to move on? Some fans are actually loyal and some just watch any crap that comes their way. I happen to be the former. If you don't like my opinion maybe you should move on. No one is Freddy but Robert, and it makes no sense to change nothing except the actor playing Freddy.

I also remember Robert saying in an interview "just don't keep the same look" as him, and said about having Freddy wearing overalls or something like that. The movies are not "separate" by any means, everything else is pretty much the same except the actor who IS Freddy is not Freddy this time.

Looks good to me. Like someone mentioned previously, I go into the remakes totally separating them from their past franchises. Besides it can't be nearly as bad as NOES 4-6 and FvJ. Could it?

I actually like a movie that can make fun of it itself, which is why I actually loved FVJ. Although not scary, it was very entertaining on many levels. But it would have been a lot better if it was Kane's part 7 Jason VS Freddy. You have a ton of "Serious" serial killer movies out there, but only one FVJ.

I believe to make a good remake you have to keep the main ingredients but change the spices. mmmm I'm hungry....

Personally... I thought the first two NOES were the only ones worth taking serious. The rest were (purposely) goofy 80's slasher flicks. The first two were scary, and VS had a scary vibe but still wasn't a serious flick. This new one not only has that scary vibe, it's realistic and the acting seems fantastic. I sure hope the plot doesn't disappoint.Pluses for me so far: amazing cinematography, Jackie Earl Haley's acting, the kids don't seem so bad, the great tributes to the original, and well.. ANOES IS BACK!
