Hold on to your panties Mike! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /> I last corresponded with James around the middle of December. He was learning a lot of the steps involved as he went. He was trying come castings in a 'mock' mold first to ensure the most effective method was used before making the master copy. I'm as anxious as anyone here.... probably even moreso as I've been following this project for over two years. I don't think James will let this one go. He's obviously very particular and proud of this piece, and he should be. I even thought about bumping his thread but saw that he hasn't been here in a while so I decided against it.I hope James sees this and stops by to provide a little update, even if there is no progress to report. Still wishing you luck James <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

Hey, funny thing is I was planning on posting an update in the next few days. I am most definitely still putting in as much time as I can on this piece, learning as I go. No need to fear about me ever putting this project down. After all the investments of time, hard work, and personal sacrifice, nothing is going to stop me from finishing this, and making it available to collectors. I have been working the past few weeks on painting. A lot of learning involved in this process, much like every step prior. <img src=\"http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c126/manglermangrum/IMG_1985.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />I apologize for the less than stellar lighting, I just took this after reading the thread. Needless to say, I am practicing skin-tones. This is an opaque casting, mainly for the purposes of practicing said paint process (I still intend on producing this in translucent resin). I am not 100% happy with this skin tone, as I think it looks a little too orange (it looks almost cartoonish to me under fluorescent lighting). So, I am going to clean this one off, and start again using what I've learned to produce a more lifelike skin tone (of coarse adding subtle sinister embellishment to the realism). So, I am not quite there yet, but I am creeping ever closer now to completion. Thanks Mike & Jason for the support, and continued interest! I won't let you down!

simply breathtaking!

That paint work is gorgeous so far, dude. I don't care if you think it looks awful or not. In fact, that sculpture lends itself so well to color that you could paint it with pink and orange polka dots and it'd still make me drool all over my own lap...But the fact still stands that you're getting amazing results with everything you've attempted up until now.I have never been so excited to obtain a fan sculpt of Jason as I am right now, for this piece. You knocked this @#%!er out of the park in more ways than can be placed in text, and you are well aware of it! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /> Cheers,Ryan
