Just to clear things up. Mark has definitely twisted what I said around. I never said or even implied remotely that Robert Englund was a liar. I said that just because he endorsed JEH as the new Freddy we don't have to embrace or accept him. We're allowed to make our own judgements. How you made the jump from this to me calling Englund a liar is incredible....

I'm not crazy about the look or the voice. If it's anything like Friday The 13th, Halloween or TCM remakes. Another one is gonna bite the dust in my book. Another classic butchered for the sake of money. I'll go see it to see if it's just as bad as the others or if they actually did something right this time.

Freddy isn't like Jason or Myers. No offense since I'm a HUGE fan of all horror films but you can't just put a glove and makeup on a guy and call him Freddy. Robert made him the way we all know and love him so I don't know how anyone is going to even be able to a job like Robert or even close. It's just to make money but hey if it gets the teeny boppers to check out the old ones like Friday did then I guess it's a good thing. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />

Robert injected his own persona into the character. To have the character be almost exactly alike except for the actor is just stupid and very uncreative, and to simply capitalize off of the franchise.

But as I said why make a remake and keep the same look yet not Robert? I could understand if they changed everything. It would have been nice to see robert back as freddy, but i cant wait to see how JEH does as freddy, and from the the trailer, i like what i saw and im diffently looking forward to this remake, ill be there the night it opens!!!!
