This is the main reason I got into leather working, the rest is mainly to pay for it Wink For as long as I can remember I've wanted a full suit of armor, until I can afford the real steel, this'll work pretty nicely. I'm goin full head to toe, quite litteraly, only piece I bought is the helmet, just because this one is unbelievable, the guy who made it is a leather god! Everything else, I'm doing myself. Got most of it done already, gorget (neck guard) spaulders (shoulder armor) chest and back plates, thigh plates, sword belt, axe frog, bracers (forearms) Then have a chainmail gauntlet for the left hand, and a wicked bladed gauntlet for the right. All that's left to make really are the greaves with knee plates and sabotons (shins and feet) Here's a couple progress teaser shots so far, when it's all finished I'll have pics of all the pieces, and then me in them of course Winksince this pic, the gorget was redone, and the belt and sword scabbard were scrapped

Very cool! Reminds me of Frank Frazetta's Death Dealer art.

Thanks a ton guys! Really appreaciate it! I REALLY had a Frazetta look in mind when I started this, nice pick up on the inspiration! The weapons I'm carrying would make Frank smile too Wink I've also got a 4 foot long 2 hand bastard sword I'm working on. Actually, Once I got the hang of things, and found how to really work the leather, it hasn't been all that difficult, challanging for sure, and that's a BIG part of the fun, but I've taken to it pretty quickly!
