<!--coloro:#FFFF00<!--/coloroAs a lifelong fan of the franchise (and when I say that, I mean - being old enough to have seen the original film in the theaters), I couldn't help but see this week as the perfect opportunity to open a poll/thread in this forum - pondering the age-old question....which of the Nightmare sequels is by far the worst of the series?I have my own personal votes and opinions obviously - and <!--coloro:#FF0000<!--/coloroI purposefully left off the new film on the poll list <!--colorc<!--/colorcas it might be too easy of an option for the veterans here. I've only seen it once, and it was a while ago, but for good reason.I chose Freddy's Dead.I will end up watching it again very soon.

My theory/hypothesis - for the record - is that <!--coloro:#00FF00<!--/coloroanyone born in the 1990's <!--colorc<!--/colorcwould probably select<!--coloro:#00FF00<!--/coloro Part 2 or New Nightmare<!--colorc<!--/colorc as the worst (as they deviate from the traditional storyline - and ironic enough - Part 2 and New Nightmare are my favorites in the series!) and that <!--coloro:#FF0000<!--/coloroanyone born in the 1970's/early 80's <!--colorc<!--/colorcwould clearly answer <!--coloro:#FF0000<!--/coloroFreddy's Dead or FVJ. <!--colorc<!--/colorcWe'll see if prediction is anywhere right...

I chose Freddy's Dead. The parts with Spensor bouncing up and down in the house, and punching through walls was just over the top. Freddy riding a broom stick lol. Right behind that is Part 5 though in my opinionRich

Im not really a fan of the dream child or new nightmare, but maybe thats cuz that kid screamed through out the whole movie. So those get my vote. Born in 1981 lol.

I really do love em all, I'm a real sucker for anything Freddy! I do like part 6, Freddy's Dead, but it's definitely the worst in the series, from script to makeup to production, it falls well short of the standard the series built up.

frodosexual -full credit to Jeff aka creamedgeezer for that.

I actually don't think nightmare 2 is bad. I think it has the same tone of the first...if not darker. Part 5 is the worst.
