to me, sites like facebook and myspace should be for personal life use. talking with your friends, family, etc. forums based around your hobby should focus on just that. your hobby.

like joey said, I don't see why both can simply co-exist. it's a shame...

No doubt there has been a steep decline in activity. My guess... economy, deleted posts, site redesign.

I never really posted all that much anyways but I have moved on from being the collecter that I use to be.
I do like reading alot of what people write on here but I rarely respond to things. I do think alot of people have gotten older of just had an interest then got what they wanted then faded.
I dont have face book and dont think I ever will. All that seems to be is a hook up spot for my friends to get girls that are already taken. I dont care for that and I probably would get banned from that quickly with all the random dumb stuff posted on there.
I always will pop up on here i imagine for as long as im around or at least as long as this is but moneys tight now and people arnt posting new scores or talking about new pieces all that much anymore

I got a couple of reasons for not posting that much. One would be that most topics here nowadays tend to be about some Freddy/Jason/Michael/Leatherface mask that have already been done by hundreds of other people. Don't get me wrong, I love those movies (well, most of them anyway) but when you see mask after mask of the same old characters for years you gradually loose interest.
Either that or the masks are based on Saw, a Michael Bay remake or other recent movie I couldn't care less about.
If I started seeing more masks based on original or more obscure characters I would probably become more active.

Another reason is that when I occasionaly do start a topic myself, it is usually ignored or I only get three replies or so. So it doesn't really encourage me to start more.

To take the time to post my masks and get 2 replies if it doesn't have a white face has taken its toll on me. I basically think if no-one wants to comment then no-one wants to see the other masks Justin makes so I'm gonna take an extended break from posting my masks. I enjoy seeing things being posted up by everyone but I would love to see artists do original work instead of the same old slasher masks. We need more stuff out there to pick from and honestly the big horror guys have been done so many times its almost annoying to see another one that is or isn't as good as the last attempt.
