Hey guys, thought I\'d take a second to post some quick pictures I snapped. Not the greatest but they\'ll get the job done. This is one of the most recent projects for my sculpture class this semester. We glued 2x4\'s together in a curved/concave shape and were then told we\'d be making masks out of them. We were asked to integrate a culture mask with a contemporary mask and this was my pick. I took the famous Predator biohelmet that we all know and gave it a worn, Japanese Oni/Demon style paintjob. To me, it looked like something that that may have been actually worn along with samurai gear.

Anyways, hope you guys dig it. It was all hand carved with chisels and hand tools.

very cool Scott. I have actually ran across people who have combined Samurai helmets with bios. The fact that this was hand carved out of wood just really ups the coolness of the piece.
    take care,

Thats sweet man. If you watch the movie Predators you can actually see that the Laurence Fishburn character is wearing a samaruai helmet with his bio mask.
