I don\'t think continuity was really the issue after PT7 either. Like jpetz says, I think they try for ways to make Jason look different and "new" in each film. To have that look for that film. Besides I like the fact that the mask was whole again in VS. It was like a classic icon reborn. The axe cut is cool, but that mask is clearly old news. And since he can regenerate and the mask has now become such a prt of who he is, why not?! It is fiction.

I don\'t mind the continuity errors in horror icons\' wardrobes.  It gives us more props to collect and it adds a touch of uniqueness to each movie.

But ya know I sometimes wonder how they come to decisions on what to dress Jason in, or what mask to put on him, or how his machete should look. They never want to stick to continuity. They want to be creative. FvsJ was probably the most elaborate look that I\'ve seen on Jason, and I actually like it.

Yeah that\'s a great thought but NLC did JGTH, not Paramount.

We don\'t mention that title around our house so I generally skip straight to "X", not that Jason X will ever be considered anything more than a stand alone title. At least not around these parts. LOL

I don\'t mind that hey left the axe cut outta the VS Hockey Mask. If you ask me, it makes sense, why do people JUST HAPPEN to have a Jason mask with an axe cut in it? Like in Pt 6, and Pt 8? Why do these cats have an axe cut in their Jason mask in the EXACT place where Jason had his??? I\'m glad they dropped that in VS.
