The Ultimate Friday The 13th?

I just had a friend tell me that there are rumors New Line is planning on making "The Ultimate" Friday the 13th. That makes me wonder, what would qualify a F13 movie to be the ultimate one? Has anyone else heard anything about this?

The only way they could accomplish that, would be to hire the director of August Underground, get some pornstars to act as the camp counsellors and have Misfits play the whole soundtrack, lol....oh yeah....and have me write the script!

Hehe, that reminds me of an idea I had about a Jason movie. I always thought it would be funny to have the porn stars so you could have some explicit sex scenes. What I thought would be funny is to have the sex scene begin and get triple so the audience is watching and really getting into it and arroused and let this go on for a good 5 minutes, and then without warning have the most graphic, violent kill of any of the Jason movies. I just think it would be amusing to mess with people\'s moods and emotions in that way, from totally turned on to scared/grossed out, etc.

I love Tarentino, but I\'m not sure he\'s right for a Friday movie. They\'re not even \'friday\' movies anymore, they\'re Jason movies.

HUGE rumors circulating the web are that New Line and Paramount have joined forces to create the \'ultimate\' Friday the 13th movie, and who better to direct it then Quentin Tarantino? That\'s right, sources have confirmed that a deal is in the works, but nothing has been finalized as of yet. This sounds great, but will it happen?

Thats what I heard just today. Infact I was coming on to post this.

But it\'s gonna kick ass I think. He is an awsome director.

you know, qt is a big fan of the slasher genre.. and he does stick pretty closely with certain styles of movies that he loves. jus the way he pays tribute to them, keeping them authentic and not like another "3ast and 3urious" *cough*pulp fiction*cough*
anyway, the idea has lots of ups, but also has lots of downs. i don\'t think there can be an ultimate persay. example: some people love jason\'s look in say 3, and others love his look in 7. how do you please everyone... lets just hope its not some gayass cyber jason again.

March 07, 2005 - IGN FilmForce has learned that none other than Oscar-winner Quentin Tarantino is in final negotiations to write and direct the Ultimate Jason Voorhees Movie, an all new Friday the 13th for New Line.


While the rumor mill had long suggested that the next movie might be Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, that project never came together for a number of reasons.

Fans will instead be treated to the Ultimate Jason Voorhees Movie. The project will be a co-venture between New Line and Paramount Pictures. It is expected to be a "quickie" that could get underway as early as this year!

Tarantino\'s production company, A Band Apart, referred us to the William Morris Agency. A rep at WMA would only advise us that Tarantino has "not yet" been offered the job while refusing to elaborate any further.

If there\'s any (ultra-violent) filmmaker who could make Jason cool and scary again, it\'d be the man who resurrected Travolta. I just wonder if the movie will be retitled Kill Jason?

I love his flicks, so I doubt I\'d complain about it at all. I think it\'d be really cool. I\'m a pretty big fan of CSI, and I read that he\'s doing the season finale of it soon. Can\'t wait.
I think he\'d do Jason justice.
