Looks like a melted muppet, and I see you\'ve started detailing already.

Concentrate on getting the overall shape to resemble a HUMAN head before you do anything else. Then move on to the facial features (eyes, nose, mouth). THEN you can start detailing.
Sorry if that sounds harsh, but if people don\'t give constructive critisisim(sp?) on what you are doing wrong, you\'ll never get any better.
