i used to heavily collect action figures and i took almost all of them out of the box. While i still collect, I just do not take it to the extremes that i used to. All of my sideshow stuff is out of the box. The boxes are tossed in the trash where they belong. I have never sold any of my figs so i just don\'t see the point. Money isn\'t that big of an issue for me. The only figs i have that are still carded are an assload of old mcfarlane spawn figs going back to series one, variants etc...as well as some episode one star wars figs. The only reason the SW figs are still carded is because i always lose the accessories cuz they are so small. But to get the the point....LET YOUR FIGS BREATHE!!!!!!!!

Mike hates me for this, but I open mine. I just think that a toy/doll/figure so detailed deserves to be shown off. Yea, you can see detail when they are int he box, but its so much more when taken out and staring at it from a foot away.

I have a few toys that are still in their boxes, and that is becuase sometimes the box jsut makes them look cooler. It really all depends on how much I like the character, and if it has value, and could sell for more later. I do have a Sideshow Fred, and yes, I took that sucker out for display, but recently put him back in cuz Im running low on space.

Pics of Star Wars and McFarlane junk...

when i had to move awhile back...i put all the loose figs in a separate gallon ziploc bag with their accessories. I then released any excess air and placed them all in massive rubbermaid container. I have four of them here and the rest are all in storage. It has always worked for me, and i didnt have to worry about finding space for all those damn boxes...

I think they\'re getting pretty damn collectible and i\'d hate to open mine, but they seem to display MUCH better that way.

If it were vintage star wars toys or something like that you won\'t see me opening them.,...but since these do seem to be made for display I may be taking mine out soon...I\'ll do it carefully and keep the box though....

I don\'t see the point in not opening them, unless you\'re just buying them to resell them. I mean do you get a mask and leave it in it\'s box?
