Quote:I don\'t think Rotten Cotten has anything sewn up. Ben puts out much better slasher shirts IMO. And bringing up a competitor on a fright-rags thread is kinda rude.

It\'s all good...I don\'t mind the Rotten Cotton reference. I have actually talked to Shawn from RC on several occasions and he\'s a good guy. Besides, I\'d rather not do any real serial killer tees anyway...it\'s just not my thing.

Quote:Dude, you guys are not helping. NOT movie themed shirts, he wants to be original.

Very true...I was looking for more original ideas as opposed to things found in movies. I apologize if I didn\'t make that clear initially... Some of the movie ideas are great though...Silver Bullet, Cropsy, etc...all great. However, yeah, I was wondering what types of horror things you guys liked in general.

I have to admit, I never thought of robots...that could be very cool!! Hmm...might have to do a little research...

Quote:I would love to see shirts of the retro monster masks from back in the days of \"Famous Monsters\", and \"EERIE\", and \"Creepy\". I would also love to see old school werewolves or anything classic really...I really love the oldschool stuff. As far as color goes...I like it both ways...subtle works on some designs (such as the pinheads, and bubbas) but bright works very well on others (dark prince, the monster)...so use your best judgement...so far you\'ve done a great job and you know I\'ll buy stuff for sure. I also liked the skullcaps and beenies idea...not sure how you\'d do it, but I\'d buy a fright rags hat man...fitted of course...or a flex cap...none of that \"one size fits all\" adjustable trucker hat shit...

Right on...I love the old retro stuff too. I kind of figured others might as well so I\'m glad to hear that. As far as logo gear, I actually looked into it awhile ago. My supplier has all sorts of cool hats and skull caps and I have done some custom embroidery before. I may have to look into it further now...

In case any of you are wondering, yeah, this does have to do with a new project in the works. It\'s a little far off at the moment, but Iwanted to put the question out there because I respect everyone\'s opinions here.

Keep the colors darker. Color can be too festive Tongue But definately have some zombies. We all know it\'s fun to see zombies tearing apart a human...lol. Also the classic monsters sound good. Vampires aren\'t exciting... Werewolves can be if they\'re drawn up right.

I love Fright-Rags & Rotten Cotton... to me both are way different from the other and both have different markets of horror fans. But whatever. They both rule, no need for little pissy-pant rants! Smile
Some designs I would like to see:
A Werewolf design would be cool if done the right way, an original Zombie design would kick ass as well. There are already a ton of companies selling the "old school / retro" horror shirts... Fright-Rags has always brought alot more to the table, no need to copy old shit.

    Skull Caps = Awesome idea. I\'d buy \'em. :o
I\'d love to see some "work shirts" too.

I hear ya on the skull caps! I\'d go for those too!
For shirts, yeah, dripping, rotted zombies, shuffling after women who are cowering in fear (like the old horror movie posters, where almost every woman on them had the same pose, hands up near the face, eyes bugging out, on the verge of a scream).
Zombies would be cool, and like what was stated before, werewolves would be too, if done right.
How about skulls? Or skeletons? Demons might be cool too, or devils.

Yep, Zombie shirts. I know it\'s a movie reference, and I know you already did one with this phrase, but I think it\'s one of the best phrases in Horror:

The shirt: Black with white outline picture of single zombie walking in cemetary.
Phrase: "They\'re Coming to Get you Barbra..."

    I think that\'d be cool...

Also, I know it\'s movie themed but I thought about doing something to the effect of a baseball Tee with orange 3/4ths sleeves, and a Haddonfield High School Class of 1978 (or 79, because Laurie would have graduated in \'79...) on it, and a big "31" on the back jersey style.

I dunno... I personally prefer white/green/blue/red shirts, but hey, that\'s just me, and I know that the majority of your audience doesn\'t agree...

Hope that helps at least a little!!!

    Take care!

Oh! I got the shirt! It came really fast. Thanks a million!!!

I\'d like to see some old EC comic like zombies and ghouls, although not original an old school cryptkeeper would be a badass shirt.

Thanks for all the comments so far guys! I wasn\'t sure what kind of response I\'d get so I appreciate all the input...trust me, I\'m listening and taking notes Smile

Though I admit the retro thing has been done, I think there are a few ideas worth exploring to make it fresh and interesting again. But there are other styles that I\'d like to try as well. I\'ve seen lots of original horror shirts that just don\'t \"do it\" for me...it\'s either too cartoony, or too airbrushed looking, or too, well, whatever... That\'s why I want to do something different...

Glad it got there ok and that you like it!!
