I\'ve probably racked up hours when it comes to the time I\'ve spent looking for good display cases and stands.
You could take a 3/4" piece of plywood about 8 - 10" square or in diameter, whichever you prefer.
Boar a hole through the center large enough for a wooden rod about 8 - 15 inches in length. (Again depending on preference)
Wood glue holds it together, then simply sand, stain, and laquer.
