It\'s not that you can\'t, its just that normally an airbrushed Hockey Mask looks like crap and has a really spotty paintjob in my opinion. You can use acrylics for the triangles as well as weathering. When weathering a Hockey Mask you just water down the acyrlics to it looks almost like milk. Take a sponge or rag and go over the Hockey Mask again and again, this is called acrylic washings. Get regular Krylon Spray paint for your base coat.Whatever color you think looks best to the movie. Off white or tan whatever your feel is accurate. When done with that, tape off the triangles with painters tape or scotch tape and paint on the traingle let it sit and then pull the tape off and then you got your triangle hopefully without and paint seepage or drips very common mistake which happens every now and then even to the best of makers. This is a very very basic way to make a Hockey Mask, just try and experiment with everything. You will also want to seal the mask with Krylon Matte or Krylon Crystal Clear.
