We just did this, just use alot of vaseline on the hair & even still the hair will stick, we have a vid of it, what you do is make a box then put only your palm in the mold making a dividing area a little before the plaster starts to kick up let it sit until you feel it getting warm, once it gets to warm take your palm out. Second step is to add vaseline to the mold half that you just did, make sure to make pry points to get the second half off when you do the second half place your hand back in the mold, lots of vaseline on the hair & then use a chip brush to brush on a layer of plaster until it get\'s thick then put it on heavy to build up the thickness, the actor or yourslef can tell when it is getting to warm so once it does just say so or have them say so then pry the mold apart, it does work trust me it does but it is not the best way & I do not recommend it at all but in situations where you are in a rush you can make do with this. You can also you a rubber glove & put that on, the thick kind that can withstand some heat & do the same process if you just need a hand form you can do that but best bet is to invest in alginate but I will not say you are crazy for wanting to try this because I have done it a few times with no burns on anyone nor myself but remember i have experience so please be careful with anything you do especially with a process like this & do not forget to add vaseline or a release agent or your arm will get stuck. Just becareful but I think you should invest in 2.5 pounds of alginate, much better impression & it is safe there is also a silicone made by smooth on that can be applied directly to skin, there are alot of options. Lifecasting or body casting is fun but you must no what you are doing.
All the best,
Bob.
