The cops around here don\'t do much, so I\'d understand why you\'d want people outside the police force to assist you. My dad\'s house got broken into while he was out of town, and a whole family was living in his home for a week, ate all of his food, bought paperview, ran up the phone bill, etc, and when they moved out they took EVERYTHING and trashed what they left, like the furniture. 
There were fingerprints everywhere, and the cops had said that it looked like those people did that kind of thing a lot, but they never arrested anyone... I even described the car they were driving, because I had seen a strange car parked out front of my dad\'s house during that week. It really sucks, and kinda makes you feel unsafe for a while. Things will get better though once the initial shock wears off, and you get that peephole.
