I may be alone here but I thought Brad Loree w/ the black makeup under his eyes looked pretty wicked. I am in no way saying resurection was a good flick, just thought his eyes looked pretty sinister in it.
Also Warlock was an awesome Myers IMO and you could see his eyes pretty clearly and this never bothered me a bit.
Maybe when it comes to display eyes some people use mannequin eyes and those tend to be very feminine and very weak looking, I can agree with you there. My lifesize display myers has custom eyes that make him look insane and I wouldnt change them.
