yawn. Fast doesn\'t equal good. Very few players make fast sound really good. Most make it sound like scale practice with the metronome kicked up.
However Joe Satriani can play pretty fast and he always sounds good.
yeah my shredding phase was about 18 years ago, lol. I\'ll stick with Killswitch Engage and Motograter lately. I\'d rather hear the bass and drums then the "wheedle-deedle" of fast fingers.
it\'s funny though that all the \'shredders\' mentioned are pretty much the same ones from when I was a kid.
I\'ve met Michael Angelo, he\'s a really super nice guy. Very friendly and extremely down to earth.
good luck with your scales everyone, enjoy those phyrigian minors and harmonic minors. And don\'t forget to sweep.
