Quote:that\'s cool. Me personally I\'m the opposite. i always dug the original TCM for it\'s disturbing docu-voyeur feel, but the sequels kinda blew and I didn\'t find him to be as interesting as Jman or Mike. Until they did the remake. It fleshed out the family and characters just enough to where now I think they\'re an interesting and twisted family. I found the creepy young woman saying, "this baby\'s Mine!" to be one of the creepiest things about the remake. But maybe you gotta have kids to appreciate what a scary moment that is.You\'ve made some good points which I agree upon. The new set of characters in the remake were more interesting & disturbing, remember the caravan scene? That had a David Lynch feel to it, sureal ,and yet believable.I thaught the acting was very solid and I\'m glad they\'ve got the same team together.
It\'s like in the original, Bubba was the only interesting character. Where\'as in the remake I found quite a few of the characters to be interesting.
I can\'t wait for The Beginning to come out. Especially if it\'s as nasty and brutal as the reviews are saying.

Last night I watched the original again, I\'ve got the new dvd ultimate edition, the improvement in picture quality is impressive & I do recommend it. My preference is different to a previous post which describes the original Bub as an overgrown child who is psychopathic, that description is correct. I prefer the new Bub, you can\'t imagine him being bullied and cajoled by one of his brothers, he oozes manace, his own family are afraid of him.
Enough rambling ,bring on the new film.
