I personally love the plots in all the movies. In fact, I consider Elm Street movies to be some of the most creative movies of the horror genre. The nice thing about them is all the cool ways the writers found to bring Freddy back. Perhaps they depended on a little suspension of disbelief, but I've always been game...despite the unnecessary comedic route they took our villain in. Even the plot to Freddy's Dead was kinda alright...just horribly executed...and the whole 3D gimmick did not help it AT ALL. Perhaps if they wouldn't have actually written it into the storyline...ooph, makes me shiver at the stupidity of it all. But the town being dried up of kids/victims, and all that?...kinda neat imo. It's a shame. New Nightmare? Awesome concept as well: real evil envious of fiction. Plus an excuse to see Langenkamp after so many years. And using Jason to ignite fear on Elm Street again...definitely fun. Remake was great for a remake...except for the wall scene...stupid stupid stupid.
But then again, maybe I'm just easy to please.
