I've seen them live 4 or 5 different times throughout the years. Shit, I saw them when they were just an opener for Van Halen! Also had the chance to meet the the guys after an Aragon ballroom show here in Chicago. I believe it was during the dirt tour. Layne was very quit and didn't stick around long. He was more concerned with the bottle of whiskey he had been nursing. I remember the tour manager trying to introduce a couple of hot groupies to him and he just waved the bottle of booze in there faces and walked away. It was actually pretty funny seeing it happen. The original base player Mike Starr and the drummer Sean Kinney were a blast though. We partied with them for a bit that night before finally meeting up with Jerry who was also a very cool guy... Mad Season is amazing, the new singer sucks, and there is no AIC with out Layne Staley. If anything I pretty much agree with Clint, Jerry could have pulled it off on his own...
