any way you speed up the drying is going to shrink the mask more. you may not notice by looking at it , but if it is tight fitting mask the extra size in the circumference might make a big difference
putting talc into the mold reduces the amount of plaster that is pulled away from the mold when you pull the latex out, allowing the mold to yield more pulls.
putting talk inside the mask itself while it is still in the mold prevents it from sticking to itself when you try to remove it from the mold.
