Anyone who would look down on a person who loves to learn about and collect movie props, costumes, and replicas of those creations obviously doesn't have much respect for art. And I don't associate with people who don't respect art. Those people are usually tasteless, mindless zombies who've been brainwashed by religious extremists and the general tendency of our society to be hypocritical of other people who don't share the same views as themselves.I love collecting pieces of the movies that are closest to my heart, and through the last eight years of collecting both replicas and original props, I've learned that you should only buy what makes YOU happy and who cares about everyone else...If I think a rotting piece of foam appliance is the coolest !$@%ing thing since sliced bread, then my mom's, family's, friends', co-workers', president's, or even DOGS' opinions don't matter one damn bit. In fact, whenever I do get a new piece, I usually just take a few pictures to show my online buddies and a few other collectors, then wrap it in plastic bags, place it back in its box, and store it safely inside my closet. I even bought a bookshelf a couple of weeks ago to display some of my stuff on, but I still feel like leaving most of my masks and foam props in the closet because we rarely have company, and my lady and I are probably the only people who will see (or care about) those pieces, anyway.Cheers,Ryan
