This remake has the chance of breaking the mold and being a decent film like the tcm remake but when it comes to remakes it has a whole bucket of crap waiting for it to fall into, i love the originals even though by today's standards they are not great movies, when i first saw p3 it scared the hell out of me but i was just 13 if i saw it today for the first time it would not have the same impact, that's what they have to do with the remake, reproduce that original impact, none of the corny crap that was in Fv'sJ, i want to see real people behaving like real people would behave in certain situations, cgi has had it's time so lets go back to basics, real props, real special effects, i don't want to see some half naked dumb teen walking down into a dark cellar asking if there is anyone there because in real life it wouldn't happen!I would love to see the script writers come up with something realistic as in the way the characters behave and the way Jason behaves, i want to see Jason fast thinking, cunning, show no mercy, athletic not a body builder or wrestler, it's not about how big Jason is it's about how smart and how evil he is, i don't want to see Jason punch someone's head off or twist someones head around it's all been done before it looked shit and didn't work, it should not be about how to come up with the most elaborate kill it should be how to make the most shocking and believable kill scene, i want to see a horror/thriller not an action/fantasy/horror.Keep it simple, it's a guy in a hockey mask killing people and being evil and clever about it.I think overall this film will be made to please the wrong people and that will be a real shame, it will be trying to be too hip and unrealistic to the point that we have an unbelieveable element to it that just goes too far, chances are it will really disapoint the real fans of the originals. My ideal film would be dark, tense and very simple, i wouldn't show Jason's face at all and i would only let the Hockey Mask be seen right toward the end, keep him in the shadows, it's what you can't see that really scares you.
