You know what... now that I think about it, I ordered the Maximus helmet from that Heritage of Scotland place a few years back and when I got it, the base stand did not have the Factory X plate. But the inside of the helmet did have the Factory X sticker. I was thrown off so I emailed the seller and he said all of the bases he had in stock did not have the plate. He never told me it was a knockoff though.. makes me wonder. Regardless it was the nicest Maximus helmet I've ever had... very heavy and those spikes could kill.
