I'm not completely disapointed with the mask...maybe because I wasn't expecting anything mind-blowing. Here are my thoughts on the whole thing, for those of you who care to read:The very fact that they are trying to re-create something already sets the tone for the entire project. The "original" hockey mask had no pre-cursor. It was bad ass because it was the first time anyone had ever seen it. No one spent all this time crafting a hockey mask to look scary. They said "Damn, that looks pretty cool" and went with it. You can never re-capture that. Just go back and look at that video of them filming this new movie. That house they were running around looked distressed in a very Hollywood way. Not in a real way like what we saw in the original films where the locations were pretty much as is. Everything on these new films are carefully manufactured to look a certain way...from the set, to the dirt stains on the clothing, to the fake sweat on the Abercrombie models. So why would the mask be any different? They put so much "thought" into everything, they left no room for allowing a character of it's own to develop. I was impressed by the Crystal Lake sign, but everything else was just as I expected...hyper-stylized. It's not that it's horrible to do that - FvsJ was the same way and I enjoyed it...it just wasn't the Jason I know and love....and more importantly, grew up on.That said, I'll still be first in line to see it...damn, sometimes it's hard being a rabid fan <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"
